The rain did not keep Kansas City and Huntsville from finishing their game.

Justin Ashe never let Huntsville get something going. The Kansas City left-hander commanded his fastball in pitching the Dust Devils to a 4-0 win. Ashe, the winner, moves to 4-4. He threw 5.1 innings of 2-hit ball, while fanning 6 and giving up no walks.

Making an impact for the home team was Matt Griffin. In the bottom of the second, the 22-year old center fielder had a run-scoring hit-by-pitch. That made the score 2-0, Dust Devils.

"The effort we put into this one paid off," Griffin said.

The Dust Devils now have a record of 17-30 with the win over Huntsville.
