Trolls Field was the site for Northern A action featuring the Tyler Trolls and Grand Rapids Jet Hawks.

The Grand Rapids Jet Hawks beat the Tyler Trolls, 15-4, at Trolls Field. The Jet Hawks got a fine performance from shortstop Karl Aitcheson, who went 1-3 with 2 walks. He scored 3 runs. The win was credited to Brian Wilson in relief. His record improves to 3-0. Carlos Zamora took the loss. Trevor Hill earned the save for Grand Rapids, his 2nd.

Jeff Matchette was 1 for 3. He drove in 3 runs and scored once for Grand Rapids. The 23-year old shortstop had a key at-bat in the top of the seventh. With one out and runners on 1st and 3rd, he broke a 4-4 tie with a run-scoring sacrifice fly off Carlos Zamora. It was his 8th RBI of the season.

"When this team comes together and plays the way we can, we can compete with anyone," said Matchette. "I think we're going to keep proving that."

Grand Rapids sits in first place in the Northern A East Division at 27-16.
