The Huntsville Rockets powered past the Cottage City Cannonballers, 8-1, at Ballpark of Austin. Vinny Torres provided some of the pop. Pappy was 3-4 with 3 singles and a walk, while scoring 2. Naohiro Goto, 3-0, earned the win in relief. He allowed no runs on 1 hit in 1.1 innings. With the victory, the Rockets upped their record to 25-18.

The Rockets got an important contribution from second baseman Bob Sallee, who in the bottom of the sixth hit a 1-0 fastball to center for a solo home run. It was his 2nd home run of the season and put the Rockets ahead, 3-1.

"I thought we played a nice game," Sallee told the Huntsville Bulletin. "Good pitching, timely hitting, it was all there."
