The Glace Bay Miners topped the Santa Rosa Desperados, 6-3, in Northern A action at Miners Memorial Park. The standout performance belonged to Glace Bay pitcher and O'Fallon, Missouri, native Will Gardner. Picking up the save was Cory Crabtree, his 8th. Glace Bay has a record of 26-16, placing them second in the Northern A East Division.

With Glace Bay leading 1-0 in the bottom of the fourth, Mike Baumgardner hit a 2-run single off Santa Rosa pitcher Greg Amos. It put the Miners ahead 3-0.
