Kansas City had no answer for 23-year old left-handed pitcher Alex Martinez. The Newark Flyers starter stymied Dust Devils hitters, helping the Flyers cruise to victory, 8-0. With the win, Newark pushed its record to 27-12.

The Dust Devils had little chance against Martinez, who overpowered Kansas City hitters and struck out 10.

"When Alex is on, he can really move the ball around," said Newark manager Matt Conners.
