Due in large part to center fielder John Wallick, the Huntsville Rockets sunk the Grand Rapids Jet Hawks, 6-3. Wallick went 3 for 4 with a home run and 2 singles, while adding 3 RBI and scoring once. Picking up his 1st save was 20-year old right-handed pitcher Jason McCoart. Huntsville is now 23-15. Grand Rapids is 23-15.

With Huntsville trailing 3-2 in the bottom of the second, Wallick hit a fastball from Matt Lavender for a 3-run home run. It was his 4th home run of the season and put the Rockets ahead, 5-3.

Huntsville manager Alec Roller called it "a darn good win."
