Fremont Upended by Tyler, 5-2

Tyler pitcher Roberto Pleitez did his part in helping his team defeat the Fremont Ambassadors, 5-2. The opposition could never get too much going against the right-hander. The save was credited to Kevin McGaha, his 8th. Tyler raised its record to 19-19 with the win.
Chad Hines had a big 2-run home run for the Trolls in the bottom of the fifth inning. With Tyler leading 2-1 and a runner on 2nd, he got a fastball from Jim Unknown and swatted a home run to right. It was his 3rd home run of the season, and more importantly, it put the Trolls ahead, 4-1.
In postgame comments to the Tyler Times, Hines said, "If the effort is there, the wins will come."
