Santa Rosa Absorbs 6-5 Loss to Kansas City
Despite a great performance by Santa Rosa left fielder Mike Fitzgerald, the Kansas City Dust Devils defeated the Desperados by the score of 6-5 at Kansas City Grounds. Fitzgerald went 2 for 3 with a home run. He drove in 2 runs and scored once. John Wright notched the win in relief. The left-hander allowed no runs on no hits in 3 innings. His record now sits at 1-1. With the win, Kansas City raised its record to 19-11.

Kansas City took a 6-5 lead on Dave McGee's 6th double of the season. The 2-run double, which McGee hit in the bottom of the seventh, left Santa Rosa pitcher Jose Rodriguez visibly frustrated.

"Everyone's trying too hard," said losing manager Angel Cano. "If we learn to relax, we'll be fine."
