A good performance from catcher Bobby Goldsmith helped the Kansas City Dust Devils defeat the St. Catharines Blue Jays, 7-4. Goldsmith went 2-4 with a home run and a double, while scoring 2 runs and driving in 3 for the Dust Devils. Kansas City starter John Pritt was credited with the win after throwing 87 pitches over 5 innings. His record now stands at 1-0. The Dust Devils, now 15-14, know that wins in May count the same as wins in September.

With Kansas City leading 2-1 in the top of the second, Goldsmith hit a fastball from George Branch for a 2-run double. It was his 2nd double of the season and put the Dust Devils ahead, 4-1.

"They had a good approach," St. Catharines skipper Freddy Coss said of the opposition. "Hats off to them."
