Glace Bay third baseman Craig Carson had 3 ribbies while helping his team defeat the Grand Rapids Jet Hawks, 8-5. Glace Bay reliever Antonio Martinez picked up the win, upping his record to 1-0. Jim Unknown took the loss. Cory Crabtree collected his 4th save.

Willie Rodriguez hit a grand slam home run off Jim Unknown in the top of the ninth, which put the Miners ahead, 6-5. In addition to the homer, Rodriguez had 1 double, while going 2 for 5.
