Kansas City Dust Devils pitcher John Pritt was in fine form, leading his team past the Huntsville Rockets, 2-1. The winner was Kansas City reliever Jimmy Miano, now 2-2. The loser was Rich Sargent. The loss drops Huntsville to 10-14.
The Dust Devils got a clutch hit from center fielder Francisco Flores. In the bottom of the tenth, he delivered a run-scoring single to win the game for the Dust Devils.
"We take it day by day here," said Flores, "and today was a good one for us."
