The Jet Hawks grabbed a win, 5-3, at Jet Hawks Ballpark, overcoming a fine effort from Santa Rosa pitcher Greg Amos. Amos went 6 innings and allowed 4 runs. Ben Wiggins, summoned from the bullpen, notched his 2nd save. Grand Rapids, now 16-8, has gotten their season off to a good start.

The Jet Hawks got a big at-bat from third baseman Curt Holy. For the game, Holy went 1-4 with a triple. He drove in 3 runs. In the bottom of the second, with the bases loaded, he stroked a bases-clearing triple. His 2nd triple of the season gave Grand Rapids a 3-0 lead.
