Fremont Picks Up Another L
|
The Grand Rapids Jet Hawks stopped the Fremont Ambassadors, 3-1, at Jet Hawks Ballpark. The Jet Hawks got a big game from Dusty Simeone, who slugged 2 home runs. He drove in 3 runs and scored twice. Earning his 4th save of the year was Andy Mendelson. To call the performance of the 4-16 Ambassadors woeful so far is an understatement.
The game turned with two out in the bottom of the fourth. That's when Simeone hit a 2-run home run off Eric Esposito. It propelled the Jet Hawks into the lead, 3-1.
"No one likes losing," said Fremont manager John McNair. "But we'll turn this thing around."
