Deltas Walk It Off for 4th Win of Season
|
Getting a good performance from right fielder Luis Casanova, the Deltaville Deltas defeated the Cottage City Cannonballers, 7-5. Casanova was 5 for 5 with a home run and 4 singles, while adding 4 RBI and scoring once for the Deltas. After losing, Cottage City is 2-5.
The game was decided with no one out in the bottom of the ninth. With Deltaville trailing 5-4, Casanova jumped on a fastball from 17-year old right-handed pitcher Alfredo Sanchez and hit a 3-run home run to right. With one swing, the Deltas had a walk-off win.
"Anytime you're seeing it well, it's a good feeling," Casanova told the Deltaville Gazette.
