In a tight contest at The Capitol Dome, the Augusta Capitols edged the Hamilton Bulldogs by the score of 6-5. Augusta first baseman Pete Roan, who blasted 1 home run, was a key contributor. The third-place Bulldogs dropped to 24-19.

Augusta went up, 6-5, on Caleb Langenwalter's 16th double of the season. The 2-run double, which Langenwalter hit in the bottom of the seventh, left Hamilton pitcher Matt Moyer shaking his head.

"Say want you want about this team, they play nine innings hard," said Augusta manager Chris Clarke.
