Bombardiers Take Tight Tangle
|
Cincinnati turned a fine outing from starter Mike Pinion into a victory over the Stockton Ragin Cajuns at Ballpark of Cincinnati. The final score was 2-1. Cory Hobbs earned the win after being brought in from the bullpen. The right-hander allowed no runs on 1 hit in 2 innings. His record is now 2-4. The last-place Bombardiers own a record of 12-30.
Juan Guerra was the walk-off hero for Cincinnati. With the game tied in the bottom of the ninth inning, the Bombardiers left fielder hit a dramatic run-scoring single to send the teams home.
"We'll put this win in our pocket and go after the next one," said Guerra.
