In a tight contest at Ballpark of North Richland Hills, the Sonoma Scorpions edged the Augusta Capitols by the score of 4-3. Sonoma center fielder Armando Cuevas, who blasted 1 home run, was a key contributor. After today's action, Sonoma sits at 20-21, while Augusta falls to 24-17.
Sonoma grabbed the momentum in the bottom of the fifth, when Cuevas hit a 3-run home run off Carlos Loera. His 1st home run of the season put the Scorpions out in front, 4-1.
"This team is capable of getting on a roll," said Sonoma skipper Keith Young.
