Bombardiers Need Extra Innings to Top Boll Weevils, 6-5
Wet weather did not postpone the Cincinnati-Miami ballgame.

The Cincinnati Bombardiers dealt the Miami Boll Weevils a 6-5 loss at Ballpark of Miami. Alex Ochoa was the star on offense. He went 3 for 5 with a double and 2 singles, while adding 2 RBI and scoring once. Cincinnati reliever Vinny Luna was the winner. His record is now 2-1. Chris Zich took the loss.

Manny Stevenson came through with a big-time hit for Cincinnati. The first baseman smacked a solo home run in the top of the 11th inning to give his team the lead, 6-5. It was his only hit, but it was clutch.

"Feels good to get the job done," Ochoa said after the game.

The Bombardiers improved their record to 23-17 with the win over Miami.
