Pimenta Excels, But Capitols Win
The Augusta Capitols overcame a good performance by Sonoma first baseman Dave Pimenta to knock off Sonoma, 9-8, at Ballpark of North Richland Hills. Pimenta went 4 for 5 with a home run, a double, and 2 singles, while scoring 2 runs and driving in 4. Tim Kondas closed it out for Augusta, earning his 12th save. Augusta has now won 3 in a row.

Augusta needed the clutch hitting of Kevin Cremo to seal the deal. The second baseman swatted a 2-run home run in the top of the ninth inning to put the Capitols on top, 9-8. For the game, Cremo had 1 home run and 1 single in 4 at-bats.
