Tigercats Rally Late to Nip Bombardiers

Both teams had their opportunities, but in the end, the Vail Tigercats got the win.
The Vail Tigercats scored a tight, 4-3 win versus the Cincinnati Bombardiers at Vail Grounds. Vail pitcher Adam Williams held his own in the contest. Vail reliever Ismael Resendez was the winner. His record is now 1-1. The losing pitcher was Cory Hobbs.
Nick Keller played the role of hero for Vail. In the bottom of the ninth, he launched a solo home run off Cory Hobbs to win the game. It was his only hit in 1 at-bat, but it was the decisive blow.
"If you chase it, you need to get it," said Vail skipper Mike Alexander.
Vail is now 22-14, Cincinnati 10-26.
