Augusta and London duked it out and the Capitols came out victorious.

The Augusta Capitols defeated the London Tigers, 6-3, in part because of shortstop Ben Hurt. Hurt was 3 for 4 with 2 home runs, while adding 4 RBI and scoring twice for the Capitols. Augusta pitcher Keith Carter got the win, upping his record to 2-4. Mike Brown got the loss.

Augusta won the game in part because of Chris Wunderlich. The right fielder ripped a 2-run home run in the top of the first inning to put the Capitols ahead, 2-0. For the game, Wunderlich had 1 double and 1 home run in 2 at-bats.

Augusta manager Joel Braddock praised his team's "energy."
