Ragin Cajuns Snatch Late-Game, 2-1 Win
Stockton Ragin Cajuns starter Chris Marquis turned in a top-notch performance against the Sonoma Scorpions at Ballpark of Stockton. The result was a win for the Ragin Cajuns, 2-1. Stockton reliever Carlos Martinez was the winner. His record is now 3-3. Greg Brando took the loss. The Ragin Cajuns, now 25-10, have won 8 in a row.

Had Curtis Wojtysiak not delivered a key base hit in the bottom of the eighth, the outcome might have been different. Instead, with two down and a runner on 3rd, Wojtysiak hit a run-scoring single. That made the score 2-1, in favor of the Ragin Cajuns.

Marquis told the Stockton Gazette: "I don't know which I enjoy more -- being a ballplayer or the perks that come with being a ballplayer."
