Boll Weevils Walk It Off for 22nd Win of Season
The Miami Boll Weevils rode a solid performance from 19-year-old starting pitcher John McClements to a win, beating the Sonoma Scorpions, 3-2, at Ballpark of Miami. Miami pitcher Jerrod Notaro earned the win, hiking his record to 2-0. Jonathan Harvey suffered the loss. With the victory, the Boll Weevils upped their record to 22-8.

The Boll Weevils were down to their last out in the bottom of the ninth inning, when 26-year old right fielder Gregg Cuevas landed a big blow. He turned a first pitch fastball from Jonathan Harvey into a 2-run single. The walk-off single sent the Ballpark of Miami denizens into a frenzy and sent the Boll Weevils home with a thrilling 3-2 win.

"This stadium was a-rockin'," said Cuevas.
