Cornwall beat Vermont on the strength of starting pitcher Ken Bixby's fine effort. The right-hander led his team to a win, 5-3. Bixby, who is tied for 4th in the W-AA in innings pitched with 41.0, went the distance for Cornwall. He gave up 3 runs on 6 hits. The Milkmen drop to 10-18, as their fitful start to the 2023 campaign continues.

The Royals got a big at-bat from first baseman Franklin de Leon. For the game, de Leon was 1 for 3 with a home run and a walk. He drove in 2 runs and scored once. In the top of the second, with a runner on 1st, he stroked a 2-run home run. His 3rd home run of the season gave Cornwall a 2-0 lead.
