Vail designated hitter Ian McKibbins contributed significantly to his team's 6-2 win over the Sonoma Scorpions. McKibbins went 2 for 4 with 1 run scored to lead the offensive attack for the Tigercats. Vail reliever Tim Surber picked up the win, while Jose Ceballos took the loss for Sonoma. The Tigercats bumped their record to 16-13 with this win.

Vail took a 6-2 lead on McKibbins's 7th double of the season. The bases-clearing double, which he hit off Tony Longoria in the bottom of the seventh, propelled Vail to the win.

"It was a good team win. Everybody threw something in," McKibbins told the Vail Daily.
