Firecats Come Up Short at St. Louis, 6-5
The St. Louis Cavalry defeated the Hialeah Firecats, 6-5, at Cavalry Ballpark. Leading the charge for St. Louis was left fielder Rich Maciejewski. He was 1-3 with a home run and a walk, while scoring 3 times and driving in 2. The Firecats fall to 8-16 and continue their lackluster start in 2025.

Danny Gates, who is tied for 3rd in the W-AA in RBI with 17, aided the St. Louis cause with a run-scoring sacrifice fly in the bottom of the fourth. For the game, the shortstop was 1-3 with a double.

"It was a solid team effort," said Gates after the game.
