Riding the 3-hit performance of the 24-year old left fielder Pat Bounds, the Stockton Ragin Cajuns stopped the Augusta Capitols, 4-1. Stockton pitcher Rick Collins earned the win, hiking his record to 2-0. Ben Calder suffered the loss. Ryan Robertson got credit for the save for Stockton. It was his 1st of the year.

Stockton took a 4-1 lead on Bounds's 5th home run of the season. The 2-run home run, which he hit off Paul Williamson in the bottom of the seventh, propelled Stockton to the win.

Bounds called the win the result of "everyone working in tandem."

Stockton goes to 10-6.
