Miami Absorbs 3-1 Loss to Sonoma
|
In a tight tilt between the Sonoma Scorpions and the Miami Boll Weevils, Steve Oswald was the deciding factor. The Sonoma right-hander spearheaded the 3-1 win. Mauricio Martinez finished the game for Sonoma and earned his 3rd save. The Boll Weevils, 5-10, continue their poor start to the 2024 campaign.
Second Baseman Mike Lynn made an impact for Sonoma, when he swatted a run-scoring double off Jon Caruso in the top of the fifth. For the contest, Lynn went 1-4 with a double.
"I tell our guys all the time, 'Every pitch is the right pitch if you put it in the right place, you believe in it and have conviction,'" Sonoma manager Keith Young said.
