Miami Boll Weevils pitcher Alan Malinowski was in fine form, leading his team past the London Tigers, 4-1. Dave Vondrasek, now 2-0, picked up the win in relief. He allowed no runs on 1 hit in 2 innings. The loss puts London at 8-8.
Miami took a 2-1 lead on Tyler Miles's 2nd double of the season. The run-scoring double, which Miles hit in the bottom of the eighth, left London pitcher John Cochran visibly frustrated.
Malinowski said his team "played with focus."
