Tigercats Come Up Short at Cincinnati, 3-2
|
In a low-scoring contest between the Cincinnati Bombardiers and the Vail Tigercats, 23-year old left-handed pitcher Alex Martinez proved to be the difference. The Cincinnati left-hander earned props for his performance in the 3-2 Bombardiers win. Cincinnati reliever Daniel Jurado picked up the win, upping his record to 1-0. Robert Hendricks was saddled with the loss. The win lifts Cincinnati to a record of 4-1.
Cincinnati took a 3-2 lead on Ramon Perez's 1st home run of the season. The 3-run home run, which Perez hit in the bottom of the seventh, left Vail pitcher Robert Hendricks visibly frustrated.
"Just glad I could help us get a win," said Perez.
