The Sonoma Scorpions got their 2024 ABA Double A season off to a good start, defeating the Cincinnati Bombardiers, 8-4. Sergio Camero set the pace. He went 2 for 2 with a home run and 2 walks. He scored 2 runs. Jeremy Dawson collected his 1st save.

Had Bryan Erck not delivered a key base hit in the bottom of the seventh, the outcome might have been different. Instead, with two down and the bases loaded, Erck hit a 2-run double. That made the score 5-4, in favor of the Scorpions.
