Led by Clay Tucker, the Fresno Running Rebels downed the Encinitas Eskimo Brothers, 4-3. Tucker belted 2 home runs. He drove in 3 runs and scored twice for the Running Rebels. Butch Saulters picked up the win in relief. His record improves to 1-0. Danny Martinez suffered the loss. Fresno currently is in third place in the Eastern AA Southen Division at 79-60.

The game was decided with two out in the bottom of the ninth. With Fresno trailing 3-2, Tucker jumped on a splitter from 26-year old right-handed pitcher Danny Martinez and hit a 2-run home run to center. With one swing, the Running Rebels had a walk-off win.

"What a buzz," said Tucker after it was over.
