The Rohnert Park Cougars weathered an outstanding game by Mesa left fielder Ryan Patterson to topple the Razor Sharks, 8-7. Patterson went 2 for 3 with a home run, a double, and a walk. He scored 2 runs and drove in 3. The win went to Drew Yarussi in relief, making him now 1-0. Josh Buxton took the loss for Mesa. Today's win puts Rohnert Park at 63-74, while Mesa falls to 73-64.

Steve Nalbach went 2 for 3 with 2 singles and 2 walks. He drove in 2 runs and scored once against the Razor Sharks. With the game tied in the bottom of the seventh inning, he drew a walk, driving in 1 run that put Rohnert Park in front, 8-7.

"We're in a little funk right now and we've just got to get ourselves out of it," said Mesa manager Danny Schexnayder.
