The Traverse City Bears defeated the Fresno Running Rebels, 5-2, at Running Rebels Ballpark. Leading the charge for Traverse City was left fielder Justin Grasso. He went 4-5 with a home run and 3 singles. Danny Arroyo earned the win for Traverse City. He lasted 6 innings, allowing 2 runs on 1 hit, while striking out 2. With the win, he raised his record to 5-14. The Bears now own a record of 37-95.

Grasso had a big hit for Traverse City with no one out in the top of the third. With Traverse City leading 1-0, Grasso hit a solo home run. It was his 4th home run of the season and put the Bears up, 2-0.

"I thought we played a nice game," Grasso told the Traverse City Daily. "Good pitching, timely hitting, it was all there."
