Gomez Excels, But Dread Kings Win
Armando Gomez had a good game, but he could not keep the Encinitas Eskimo Brothers from falling, 10-8, to the Boise Dread Kings at Ballpark of Boise. The Encinitas designated hitter went 4 for 4 with a home run, a double, 2 singles, and a walk, while scoring 2 and driving in 4 in the loss. The Dread Kings go to 76-55, putting them second in the Eastern AA Southen Division.

Alex Marquez helped out the Boise cause in the bottom of the second inning with a run-scoring walk. For the game, the first baseman went 1-2 with a walk. He drove in 2 runs.

"I just try to go out and give it 100 percent every game," Marquez told a local reporter after the game. "That's my mantra, and like today, it will pay off more often than not."
