In a tight contest at Ballpark of Greenup, the Encinitas Eskimo Brothers edged the Rohnert Park Cougars by the score of 7-6. Encinitas second baseman Mike MacPherson, who blasted 1 home run, was a key contributor. Encinitas reliever Hunter Saakadze was the winner. His record is now 6-0. Gabe Sprung took the loss. At 89-38, the Eskimo Brothers claim first place in the Eastern AA Northern Division.

MacPherson had a game-changing home run in the top of the ninth. On a 2-1 fastball from Gabe Sprung, he banged a solo home run to right, giving the Eskimo Brothers a 7-6 lead. It was the 2nd home run of the year for MacPherson.

In postgame comments, MacPherson told the Encinitas Today: "Do people still doubt I give 100 percent?"
