Mesa and Alcoa got after it at Razor Sharks Ballpark.

The Mesa Razor Sharks licked the Alcoa Millionaires, 11-4. Matt Leonard deserved a big chunk of the credit. The center fielder went 3-4 with a triple, 2 singles, and a walk. He scored 2 times and drove in 2 for the Razor Sharks. Jason Hiner got the win, improving to 9-7. He worked 8.1 innings, giving up 3 runs on 5 hits, while striking out 4 and walking 5.

Alex Aime, the 17th overall pick in the 2023 draft, chipped in a solo home run for Mesa in the bottom of the third. For the game, the first baseman had 2 hits in 4 at-bats with 1 home run, 1 single, 1 run scored, and 2 runs batted in.
