Red Barons Ballpark was the site of a competitive game between the Washington Wildthings and Corpus Christi Mermen.

Starting pitcher Nate Holyfield gave the Corpus Christi Mermen a rock-solid performance, helping his team defeat the Washington Wildthings, 2-1, at Red Barons Ballpark. Holyfield, now 10-6, was the winner. In 7 innings, he gave up 5 hits, while striking out 6, walking 3, and allowing 1 run. Josh Maughan, credited with the save, is now 28 for 30 in save opportunities.
