Rotters Rough Up Wildthings, 9-1
|
The Riverside Rotters knocked off the Washington Wildthings, 9-1, at Rotters Ballpark. Chris Terry was a big reason Riverside won. The catcher slugged 2 home runs. He drove in 5 runs and scored twice. Riverside goes to 84-37, Washington to 27-94.
With Riverside trailing 1-0 in the bottom of the second, Terry hit a curveball from Tokuyuki Matsuura for a 2-run home run. It was his 19th home run of the season and put the Rotters ahead, 2-1.
"What a lackluster performance," lamented losing manager Danny Sanchez.
