The Traverse City Bears picked up a win at Greensboro Grounds, knocking off the Mesa Razor Sharks, 3-2. Starting pitcher Mike Banks played a key role in the triumph. Justin Tarin picked up the win in relief. His record improves to 1-0. Ben Bonner suffered the loss. The 5th-place Bears own a record of 33-88.

Tom Tofel had a productive trip to the plate with two out in the bottom of the second inning. With the bases loaded, he drew a walk, driving in 1 run, helping Traverse City to the win.

"This place sure got loud," said Zach Hildebrant, the Traverse City manager.
