Razor Sharks Earn 8-5 Home Win
|
The Mesa Razor Sharks defeated the Boise Dread Kings, 8-5, at Razor Sharks Ballpark. Mesa was led by 24-year old first baseman David Johnson, who was 2 for 3 with a home run and a walk. He drove in 2 runs and scored once. The winner was Mesa reliever Josh Buxton, now 4-0. The loser was Oliver Murga. The triumph puts Mesa at 68-51 for the season.
Craig Williams aided the Mesa cause with a 2-run single in the bottom of the fifth. For the game, the designated hitter was 2-4 with 2 singles, while adding 2 RBI.
"We'll pop the top on a cold beverage and get back to work tomorrow," Johnson said.
