Hutchison Slugs Razor Sharks to 4-3 Win
|
Getting a good performance from right fielder Don Hutchison, the Mesa Razor Sharks defeated the Winchester Mountaineers, 4-3. Hutchison hit 2 home runs, while adding 4 RBI and scoring twice for the Razor Sharks. The winning pitcher was Dustin Mitchell. He's now 4-6. He went 5 innings, allowing 1 run on 3 hits for the Razor Sharks. Mesa is now 27-33, Winchester 44-16.
Hutchison had a game-changing home run in the top of the sixth. On a first pitch curveball from Marty Capone, he banged a 3-run home run to right, giving the Razor Sharks a 4-1 lead. It was the 15th home run of the year for Hutchison.
After the game, Mesa manager Danny Schexnayder applauded the team's effort. "They busted their humps out there," he said.
