Cougars Suffer 4-2 Home Defeat
|
Mescalero Chiefs starter Luis Mora pitched his team past the Rohnert Park Cougars, 4-2. Mora, now 4-2, was the winner. In 8 innings, he gave up 6 hits, while striking out 7, walking 0, and allowing 1 run. Mescalero is second in the Eastern AA Southen Division with a record of 34-23.
Mescalero used a well-timed hit by Trent Lovoi to capture the win. The third baseman socked a run-scoring double in the top of the fourth inning to put the Chiefs ahead, 1-0. Though it was his only hit in 3 at-bats, it was important.
