Mountaineers Suffer 4-2 Setback
Baseball fans saw a good contest between the Mesa Razor Sharks and Winchester Mountaineers.

Mesa turned a good performance from starting pitcher Eric Zane into a 4-2 triumph over the Winchester Mountaineers at Mountaineers Park. Frank Taylor came out of the bullpen to earn the win. The right-hander allowed no runs on no hits in 2.1 innings. His record now stands at 1-0. Josh Buxton closed it out for his 2nd save.

Who knows how it would've ended, had it not been for Chris Yost? The 28-year old left fielder Yost stroked a run-scoring single in the top of the eighth inning to put Mesa up, 3-2. For the game, he was 3 for 4, including 1 double and 2 singles.

Yost called the win "a collective effort."
