Bears Lose 4-1 Decision to Polecats
|
The Libertyville Polecats knocked off the Traverse City Bears, 4-1, at Field of the Polecats. Alberto Torres was a big reason Libertyville won. The center fielder was 1-3 with a home run. He drove in 3 runs and scored once. Brian White recorded the save, his 5th. Libertyville now sports a record of 30-23.
Early in the game, Torres had a 2-run home run for Libertyville. It was his 10th home run of the season and put the Polecats on top, 2-0.
"At the end of the day, it's always about your starting pitcher," said Libertyville skipper Justin Thiede.
