Rotters Rally to Nose Past Encinitas

The Encinitas Eskimo Brothers wasted an impressive 5-inning effort from starter Dante Warren, falling, 2-1, to the Riverside Rotters at EBDBBNB Park. Riverside pitcher Kurt Neal got the win. He's now 4-0. Danny Wagner was tagged with the loss. The save went to Ryan Butler, number 14 for him.
Who knows how it would've ended, had it not been for Aarto Turkula? The 26-year old second baseman Turkula stroked a run-scoring single in the top of the ninth inning to put Riverside up, 2-1. For the game, he was 2 for 4, including 1 double and 1 single.
"We came out on the wrong end of this one," said Encinitas skipper Logan Greening.
With the win, Riverside upped its record to 35-17.
