Winchester designated hitter Billy Carroll contributed significantly to his team's 6-0 win over the Boise Dread Kings. Carroll, who leads the E-AA in total bases with 140, went 4 for 5 with 1 run scored to lead the offensive attack for the Mountaineers. Jaiden Harvey snagged the win in relief. The right-hander allowed no runs on 1 hit over 4.1 innings. He's now 1-0 on the season. Winchester leads the Eastern AA Southen Division by 7 games.

With two out in the top of the seventh, Kasey Miller had a game-changing hit. The Mountaineers center fielder slammed a run-scoring single off Jordan Gaines, making the score 2-0, Winchester.
