Aurora starter Kurt Neal pitched well against the Fresno Running Rebels at Running Rebels Ballpark. The right-hander led his team to a win, 8-4. Neal, now 1-0, was the winner. In 5.1 innings, he gave up 5 hits, while striking out 8, walking 1, and allowing 3 runs. The win puts the Suns at 28-23, while the Running Rebels drop to 24-27.

Aurora used a clutch at-bat from Brian Phillips to capture the win. The left fielder hammered a 2-run home run in the top of the fourth inning to put the Suns ahead, 2-0. It was his lone hit in 4 at-bats, but it was a humdinger.

"We cashed in when we had the chance," said Aurora manager Oscar Figeroa.
