Though he had a terrific game, Matt Levesque could not prevent his team, the Alcoa Millionaires, from absorbing a loss. Encinitas won the game, 5-3. Levesque went 2-3 with a home run and a walk, while adding 2 RBI and scoring once. Earning his 4th save of the year was Danny Wagner. The first-place Eskimo Brothers have a record of 34-13.

The Millionaires had been locked in a 2-2 tie with the Eskimo Brothers going into the top of the sixth inning. That changed quickly when the former first overall pick Juan Gonzalez came to the plate. Gonzalez hit a run-scoring double on a 2-1 changeup from Alcoa hurler Nick Alcorn. It was Gonzalez's 6th double of the year.

"There's never a lack of effort in our clubhouse. We're willing to do the little things to get the win," Gonzalez told the Encinitas Today.
