Polecats Use Late Rally to Win
|
The Libertyville Polecats beat the Washington Wildthings, 4-2. Libertyville pitcher and Nicholson, Georgia, native Craig Treinen led the way. Libertyville reliever Brian White picked up the win, raising his record to 2-2. Bill Gallihugh was tagged with the loss. Will Olejnik finished the game for Libertyville and earned his 12th save.
Jon Olejniczak hit a 2-run triple off Bill Gallihugh in the bottom of the eighth, which put the Polecats in front, 3-2. Olejniczak had 1 walk, in addition to the triple. For the game, he went 1 for 3.
"We did a lot of things right," said Olejniczak.
The third-place Polecats improved to 26-19.
