Dread Kings Down Running Rebels, 4-3
|
The Boise Dread Kings knocked off the Fresno Running Rebels, 4-3, in Eastern AA action at Ballpark of Boise. Boise pitcher and Kansas City, Missouri, native Dan Presnell had an outstanding performance. The winner was Presnell. He threw 6.2 innings allowing 3 runs. The loser was Brad Kitts. Boise is now 28-19, Fresno 22-25.
Tied up with the Running Rebels in the bottom of the fifth inning, the Dread Kings got a boost from right fielder Edwin Ochoa. With the bases empty, Ochoa saw a first pitch fastball from Brad Kitts and hit a solo home run to break the stalemate and put Boise on top, 4-3.
"We came out on the wrong end of this one," said Fresno skipper Jayden Edwards.
